Rima Nathan

Rima Nathan practices in the areas of complex civil litigation, trials and appeals.
After graduating from the Florida State University College of Law, Rima served as a judicial clerk to Justice Jorge Labarga of the Supreme Court of Florida.
During law school, Rima served as an article editor for the Florida State University Law Review and received several book awards. As a member of the FSU Law Moot Court Team, Rima was selected as the Best Oralist at the 2019 Bryant-Moore Civil Rights Moot Court Competition and a Quarterfinalist at the 2018 Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition. She was also selected as the Best Advocate for the Florida State University Final Four Intramural Moot Court Competition, where she argued before the Florida Supreme Court. She received the “Nat Stern” Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Moot Court Team.

Rima’s other law school activities included serving as a research assistant to Professor Paolo Annino in the Florida State University Public Interest Law Center’s Children’s Advocacy Clinic, where she conducted extensive research on the juvenile indictment age in Florida and represented children in criminal and dependency matters. She also worked as a student attorney at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

She received her B.S., magna cum laude, from the Florida State University in 2016, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi with a degree in Political Science and International Affairs, and a minor in French. She received a Global Pathways certificate for studying abroad in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia and a certificate in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She was an active member of the Florida State University Flying High Circus for seven years while obtaining both her undergraduate and law degrees.

Rima continues to be involved with the Moot Court Team as a volunteer coach and panelist. She is also a member of the First District Appellate American Inn of Court.
